Concrete Masonry Unit

This proposal was designed as an entry in a competition sponsored by a CMU manufacturers' trade association.  The block enables the construction of curved structural CMU walls by virtue of it linked circular sections.  It is able to bend in manner similar to a bicycle chain.  The sides are gently sloped, and the unit can be cast in standard machinery - no undercutting is needed. Blocks are 6 x 8 x 16 inches.
